1945 12 4 Letter from Esther Rhoads to Fort

Esther Rhoads responds to Fort about a AFSC report that was published that was highly critical of WRA workers. She writes about the progress in opening up more than half of 30 hostels to Japanese Americans moving back to Southern California, the work of county employees trying to find housing, describes the barracks that the government has provided some returnees (with Japanese food for isseis). She also speaks of the housing crunch that So Cal will face since many defense workers that moved there are there to stay.
