Tom fears that Mechi will be shipped off to war since he told off one of his supervisers. He wants the family to get an opinion of his maybe girlfriend, Fumi Yoshihashi when she visits them in Chicago. He says that if he was to ever get serious about Fumi then she would have to go to college.
