Email correspondence: Ken wrote (2014): "Also, I told Susan about the proposed Tanforan Memorial that will feature the two Mochida sisters. The bronze sculpture is based on the attached photo of the Mochida family waiting in Hayward for the bus to Tanforan. The position of the sisters, in front of their father, will be switched with Miyuki the eldest on the left and Hiroko the younger on the right. No parents or siblings, just the two sisters. So Susan replied: 'Hiroko Mochida took me under her wing at Uncle John's church and we used to go out afterwards, to the beach, etc. She brought me to the singles group where I met Tom. She was a bridesmaid at the wedding. I still keep in touch with her.' "
