Description
Kay reminisces about her memories of her Father, who died. Kay attended the Y Conference of Business and Professional gals, and witnesses discrimination against African Americans.
Kay says the Easteners are ignorant about evacuation because they were not interested. She spoke at the Women's Club of Germantown, receiving mixed responses. Kay has been offered jobs by Friends Service in CA, and the Administrative Assistant to 2nd man in WRA in Washington DC.
Kay wants to leave the Student Relocation Council even though they beg her to stay. She's thinking about a job with the Veterans Administration Rehabilitation handing veterans returning to schools.
