Dear John,
Please find enclosed money order amounting 11.25 for my storage fee. I am glad that you and Mr. Takeshita and Mrs. Kajiwara are working hard for our church and community in Oakland. I saw Susu here a week ago and he said he might stay in N.Y. and settle.
Mrs. ono (temporarily) and 2 (perm) are working at office of Federal C. of Churches of Christ in America, and so is Mr. Hashimoto , Mrs. Tanaka and Mrs. Nishimura.
P.S. Best regard to Takeshitas, Kajiwaras, Eishi [sp], Lee and old man Lee M. and others.
I don’t know when I am going back to Calif- the matter is not so simple when we consider the job, housing and so on. Here in NY there are so many kinds of jobs and generally without much discrimination toward Japanese.
Last year it was terrible hot in NY but this year so far not so bad. When cold winter approaches so suddenly say in Oct or Nov I am afraid I might change my mind so suddenly and try to go back to sunny Calif. and in that case we are perfectly right if you say “never can tell what is going to happen in a man’s life”
Yours sincerely,
Arthur
