Kay has finally decided to leave camp to find work in Chicago. Plans to leave 5/19/1943 for Denver to attend Tommy's graduation, staying with Margaret Rohrer. Dr. Thomas, head of Baptist's, says opportunity to relocate is best in next 90 days. Mom Tomi encourages Kay to leave. Rep. Chandler, supported by Caleb Foote, presents plan to authorize release of 82,000 (8 requirements for indefinite leave).

Kay thinks JA's will be "pushed out" of camp. Chiz and Ed to settle in Idaho. Min in training still. Kay's financial situation: qualifies for $50 and travel money from WRA. Margaret Rohre of F.O.R. offers a long-term loan. WRA supports relocation by helping finance head of household and dependents' departure.
