1942 9 Letter from Kay to Frida
Dublin Core
Title
1942 9 Letter from Kay to Frida
Description
Kay explains that Frida should make sure that others who see the letter she wrote understand that she doesn't think that Japanese Americans are not the only ones to suffer, but she refutes the claim that evacuation was based on military necessity and a "detriment to the unity and defense of this country." This may be one of the most strongly written letter about the experience of being stripped of her due process rights that I have seen yet in her letters. Kay considers Japanese prisoner of war in their own country .
