Title
1942 12 7, Letter from Kay to Miss Howey
Description
Kay writes about first arriving at Topaz. The army uprooted the shrubs greesewood, that grow in the area. So the dust storms were worse than usual. They weren't finished with the barracks, so they slept at first 200 in a row on cement floors of the dining halls. Now she describes it as more homey, with home-made furniture and put up monk cloth to separate areas in the barrack.
