Description
Gordon Hirabayashi who was imprisoned for defying the evacuation orders and was represented in a case which challenged the Executive Order 9066. In this letter, he asks Morris for his opinion on whether or not he should participate in petitioning to be able to return to the West Coast with other nisei.
A. L. Wirin of the Southern California ACLU discussed with Hirabayashi the strategy of the proposed test case of having Nisei returning to the West Coast by petitioning the General Emmons. He has already asked the opinions of Mary Farquharson, Arthur Barnett, Floyd Schmoe, and Ray Roberts.
