A letter written by Kay Yamashita who is in Berkeley with her mother to the rest of her family in Tanforan "Assembly Center." She thanks her family and advises that she is leaving the next day by train for Denver and then will leave Denver. This is part of her travels to report to Washington D.C. for the treason trial in which Kay is a witness for the U.S. government. Mrs. Hunter, who is “active for us,” visited Kay. Ish and Osa (Isokawa) were married. Kay will see Dr. Smith and Kingman. Leila was awaiting them with “everything fixed.”

Dearest Folks,
Thanks a million for everything I was in such a daze this morning didn't know
what the score was - I'm all here now. Gee Heila just had everything fixed so nice and was waiting or us but mother wanted to stay at church so I left here there. Got into S.F. - went to see Roseen -- changed reservation - leaving tomorrow 9:21 p.m. from Fruitvale - stopping Denver - arriving there 7:20 p.m. Friday leaving Denver Sat. aft. Mrs Hunter came to see me here tonite She is as active as ever for us. Ish. Osa married today at church. He didn't get any of the food so I'll get tomorrow. I'll try to catch everything tomorrow. Saw dentist - no soap - gee I just cried. Had my hair fixed. Manicure Will see Dr. Smith - Kingman tomorrow. I'll write all from train.
