1944 2 14 Letter from Kay to Folks

Dublin Core

Title

1944 2 14 Letter from Kay to Folks

Description

Kay thanks the Folks for a relaxing vacation in Ann Arbor.  Neither Tom nor John knew what time Kay would arrive to Chicago and kept Kay waiting in the train station for 3 hours (when she cried).  Tom now has an apartment in Evanston, near the "El", where Tomi will stay.   John is staying in seminary dorms, but comes for lunch and dinner.  Tomi arrives to Chicago peppy and enthusiastic.

Kay regrets not visiting Ted on her way to Chicago, for he is drafted.  The Tanakas are dis-satisfied with Chicago living standards and move to Philadelphia for work.  Kay thinks they are ungrateful and unreasonable.  Relationship is strained.  Students planning to relocate are worried by draft, and plan to stay in Camps.  Min and Iyo are worried because Tamaki's are not leaving Camp.
