Title

1943 10 15 Letter from Kay to Chiz, Ed and Kiku

Description

Kay appreciates Chiz' taking care of Mom Tomi and bringing Tomi and Neich to Idaho.  Kay says that the Quakers are landed-gentry, "the mainliners and the filthy rich."  Iyo and Min came to live with Kay on Sept 8th.  Kay invites Mom and Chiz to Phillie.  Min admits that he was scared of the family, and only got to know Iyo because Chiz opened the way.

Iyo is working in Financial Aid Dept, and Min is working in a Pharmaceutical research firm.  They have benefitted from coming early, before Phillies' WRA office is flooded with JA's.  Attended Council in NY for Church and Education.  YWCA offered Kay a job.  Many of the top schools for relocating JA students are taken over by Army.

Kay asks about Kiku, and invites all to come visit her in Phillie.
