1943 12 16 Letter from Kay to Tom

Kay makes budget report for all the Christmas gift she has bought for family members.  Earned $9 for speaking at U Penn School of Social Work.  John will come over to Phillie for Christmas and spend time in West Chester at Bailey's Dutch farm house. 

Eddie is injured: broken ribs, back and toe injuries.  The Kitows will have to move.  Kay will try to have Trudy pull strings with Marvel Maeda in the Leave Section in Washington DC to get Tomi out of Camp.  Terry is not her boyfriend, despite Martha's rumors.  Kay has "changed [her] thinking a lot since [her] last experience," but says "I'm getting old and time is such a consideration."

Kay calls herself a player/heart-breaker!  Mechi (plans to come for 3 days at Christmas), Bobby (still "holds a torch for her" and keeps her picture on his dresser, but has cold feet and leaves), and Terry.
